Matt Chapuran was the Managing Director of the Lyric Stage before becoming its Executive Director on October 1, 2019. Previously, he was the managing director of the Nora Theatre Company and the Greater Boston Stage Company, and raised institutional funds for the Huntington Theatre Company. His career includes seven years in affordable housing, with Boston Capital and The Community Builders. His short plays have been produced as a part of the Boston Theatre Marathon and Mill6 Theatre's The T Plays, and he has co-written two horror musicals for ImprovBoston.
