Valentine Callahan began in Rotary in 1992, making this her 30th anniversary with our organization. It’s fair to say that Rotary has changed her life forever. Within Rotary she’s been club president, Foundation Chair, GSE leader, assistant governor, and Governor of 7910. Currently, she’s our Foundation Chair. She’s a Major Donor, Sustainer, and Bequest Society member.
Val is a current member of the Board at Boston Rotary. She is married to fellow Rotarian Mohamed Elhanash. Val has two grown children who also live in Boston, Mark and Valentine. She has one granddaughter, Valentine Arabella Oldham, age 8. Val has two stepchildren, Kareem and Jomana. Val graduated with a BS in Early Childhood Education from Wheelock College in Boston. Since then, Wheelock has merged into Boston University. She also received her MA in Political Science from the University of Texas in Arlington.
