Mickey Cockrell CEO & Co-Founder of Catie’s Closet is an entrepreneur in the non-profit sector serving as CEO & Co-Founder of Catie's Closet. She has won numerous awards for Catie’s Closet including The MassChallenge Diamond 1st Place Award; The Celebration of Excellence Non-Profit of the Year; as well as earning a fellowship with Draper Richards Kaplan and The Social Innovation Forum. 
Prior to Catie's Closet, Mickey spent over 30 years in Business Management. Her primary focus has been in the retail sector providing leadership for Jordan Marsh, Filene's and most recently as Vice President for Kohl's. Mickey’s contributions include multi-level and multi-corporation buying, generating national expansion strategies, merchandise assortment and versioning, marketing, information systems task force and store training. As a result of her flexibility and career aspirations requiring many moves, Mickey took a non-traditional root in education focused in Business Management and Business Law.
She is known as an innovator and problem solver in the industry creating high impact marketing strategies and business solutions. Most notably are Mickey's contributions and leadership in driving the organizations expansion and operational efficiencies.
Mickey serves on the Executive Board of Directors for CTI (Community Team Work, Inc), a $100 million non- profit serving the low-income community within the Merrimack Valley, MA .

Catie’s Closet improves school attendance and graduation rates, as well as the mental, emotional, and physical health of students facing poverty, homelessness, and other crises by providing free, in-school access to clothing and basic necessities and uniting with community partners to meet students’ other immediate needs. The Catie’s Closet model reaches students directly, right within their school, and indirectly with our partner agencies by offering a source of instant relief and empowering them to re-focus on thriving in their current environment. Our approach is a low-cost, highly effective, community-engaged initiative.
