2013 Interfaith Breakfast was excellent and well attended

The Rotary Club of Boston’s 49th Annual Governor’s Prayer Breakfast was held on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at The Boston Park Plaza Hotel’s Imperial Ballroom. The Interfaith Breakfast brought together prominent business, professional, political, religious and community leaders for two hours of fellowship, music and reflection. The Rotary Club of Boston began sponsoring the Annual Governor’s Prayer Breakfasts around the time President Dwight Eisenhower was in office. In Boston, it was meant to mirror the Presidential Prayer Breakfast, an event that is held every year to give religious, political, social and business leaders a chance to build relationships that might not otherwise be possible.

In 2013 the HONOREES were chosen to represent Rotary International’s areas of focus. They included: Victim Rights Law Center (Peace and Conflict Prevention/Resolution), Fenway Health (Disease Prevention and Treatment), Massachusetts Water Resource Authority (Water and Sanitation), Risa S. Rosengard Foundation, Inc. (Maternal and Child Health), Mother Caroline Academy and Educational Center (Basic Education and Literacy), Dorchester Bay Economic Development Corporation (Economic and Community Development),Wellness, Inc.’s Alphabet Fitness Project (Boston Rotary #7 honoree)
