Jeffrey Doretti: New Member Vocational Talk
Jeffrey Doretti is the Sr. Director of Operations at the Cambridge Institute of International Education. The organization has partnerships with over 200 private and public schools in 40 states creating strong international programs and bringing diverse groups of students to high schools in the United States. The goal of The Cambridge Institute is to increase the international profile of American educational institutions and to promote cultural exchange by cultivating relationships among youth in countries with mature, burgeoning, and rapidly changing economies. In the past 15 months the business tripled its operations and grew staff five times over. Now supporting 10 global offices, the Cambridge Institute of International Education, and their sister companies, offer domestic home stay, academic support, tutoring, college counseling, international school partnerships, short term exchanges, summer camps and capital improvement fundraising.
Mr. Doretti has focused on strengthening operations for educational outfits and brought new services to the global marketplace for the past 25 years. Previously, Jeff worked at Road Scholar, Child Care Management Design & Training Specialists, Action For Boston Community Development, Inc. He is a graduate of Boston College and received his Masters in Education from Cabrini College in Pennsylvania.
For the past 11 years, Jeff and his Partner have lived on their boat in Boston Harbor. As small business owners managing their Imagine Charter Company and local real estate, they have been able to raise $20,000 through fundraising for Boston service organizations. Jeff has a love for the ocean and the Boston Harbor islands. He has been a Big Brother for 21+ years. Jeff currently serves the Rotary Club of Boston #7 as Vice President and International Service Chair.
