Matt Chapuran is the Institutional Giving Manager at the Huntington Theatre Company, a national leader in the development of new plays, having produced more than 100 New England, American, or world premieres to date. The industry of new play development continues to evolve. Learn about the pathways that a new play can often take before being fully produced by a regional theatre company.
Matt is responsible for a one million dollar charitable portfolio from corporate, foundation, and government donors, which supports the Huntington’s overall operations, education and community programs and its new play development. Previously, he was the managing director of Stoneham Theatre, a 350-seat venue with Greater Boston’s fifth largest performing arts audience, as ranked by the Boston Business Journal. He is a graduate of Emerson College and Boston College and teaches improv for Babson College’s MBA program’s Creativity module.
